DERMAL FILLER GUIDE
THE GUIDE TO A SEAMLESS RECOVERY
To help you get the most out of your treatment and to reduce side effects, we have created a guide to follow before and after your treatment to ensure discomfort is at it's minimum and you are fully prepared for your treatment.
DO'S
-
DO hydrate pre and post procedure. Drink plenty of water it will help with healing and results

DO apply topical Arnica cream to areas that will be most affected by bruising for several days before treatment and can be continued post-treatment (available to purchase in the clinic or local pharmacies)

DO ensure filler is injected at least 10 days before any big event to ensure all swelling and bruising has subsided

DO clear your schedule after filler so you can take time to ice your face and relax

DO avoid fish oil,Vitamin E, and Gingko biloba, Garlic, St. John's wort, Ginseng, Primrose Oil for 1 week prior to filler

DO inform us if you suffer with cold sores at your consultation appointment

DO avoid heat 48 hours pre and post treatment for example, no strenuous exercise, sun beds, saunas/ steam room, laying in the sun, hot tubs or hot wax

DO go slow, listen to your practitioner too much filler can give you a fake unnatural look
DONT'S

DO NOT take ibuprofen or aspirin 36 hours before your treatment unless otherwise prescribed by your GP. They will thin the blood and increase the risk of bleeding and bruising in the area that’s being injected

DO NOT drink alcohol or caffeine at least 24 hours before and after your treatment

DO NOT apply make up for 6 hours after treatment

DO NOT touch the area for 6 hours after treatment to avoid the risk of infection

DO NOT have any facial treatment facial massages, dermaroller, semi-permanent make up 2 weeks before and after treatment

DO NOT use topical skin care products such as Retinol, Retinoids, Tretinoin and Glycolic Acid 3 days prior to treatment

DO NOT eat spicy foods for the first 24 hours after treatment.

DO NOT have an important social event for 10 days after filler
AFTER CARE
We will supply you with a Crystal Facial Aesthetics cool pack to apply to the area immediately after.
The following may also be taken to help with post treatment bruising and swelling:

Arnica tablet

Eat fresh pineapple

Take antihistamines
