DOES FILLER HURT?
Dermal filler injections involve a number of injections penetrating the skin which can be uncomfortable.
We do everything we can to minimise this and make it as pain free as possible.
Numbing cream is applied at the start of the appointment and extra time is given to allow the cream work effectively.
WHAT ANAESTHESIA IS USED?

Most of the dermal fillers we use also contain local anaesthetic to reduce discomfort.
WILL I BLEED?
Dermal/Lip filler is done by using fine needles.
Injection point bleeding will happen but only from the needle piercing the skin.
This will stop within a few minutes.
It is important to follow pre and post operative instruction to minimise the risk of bleeding and bruising
IS DERMAL FILLER A SAFE PROCEDURE?
Like every injectable treatment, there is a risk. Risks will be explained in great depth at the consultation appointment.

6-12 months depending on the area, the product used and the patient metabolism and lifestyle

WHAT IS NASOLABIAFOLD FILLER?
It is a dermal filler that is placed in the nasolabial folds softening the folds that run from the corner of the nose to the corner of the mouth, giving a youthful appearance.
However, nine time out of ten people attend for this treatment needing cheek filler which lifts and creates a more aesthetically pleasing results in the cheek and nasolabial area.

WHAT IS HYALURONIC ACID?
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance found in the body.Roughly 50% of HA In our body is found in the skin.
HA is vital in maintaining the skin layers & structure. It is hydrophilic which means it attracts and binds water, therefore keeping the skin hydrated & smooth.
Like collagen, hyaluronic acid production decreases in the body as we get older increasing the appearance of wrinkles.
The temporary Dermal Filler we use contains man made HA.Once injected into the skin it works alongside the body’s remaining proteins, collagen and elastin, rehydrating the skin giving it volume and a more youthful appearance.
